What qualifies as a long-distance move in Sarasota?

A move from Sarasota to another part of Florida may be quoted differently from a move within the city. Crossing a state line makes it an interstate move. Verify the mover's authority and ask for a written estimate covering the inventory, route and delivery arrangements.

In practice, ask three questions. How is the price set: by time, by weight, or a flat amount for the inventory? When will the truck be loaded and when will it arrive? And what happens if your new home is not ready on delivery day, for example because a closing slips?

The answers should be in writing on the estimate. If they are not, ask for them before you book.
